Chinese Ethnic
China currently has 5 major different language families and 129 different languages. The Languages of China are the languages that are spoken by China's 56 recognized ethnic groups.
§ Han Chinese which the most spoken, by far, is Mandarin (about 850 million) total of 91.95% population.
§ Followed by Wu (90 million), Cantonese (Yue) (70 million) and Min (50 million).
§ Most of these groups are equally unintelligible, although some, like Xiang and the Southwest Mandarin dialects, may share common terms and some degree of intelligibility.
